INTRODUCTION

Much of my work is dominated by strong visual arcs in the composition, and this painting was no exception. When I started this image I had many things in mind: I wanted to create an image that had a tribal, surreal feel, typical of my images. But I also wanted this painting to be a landmark for me, in terms of technique and the challenges it would present.
