INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this painting, “Break Away!” was originally produced as a gallery piece for an event at Gallery Nucleus, an art store near my neighborhood. “Imaginary Spaces” was their theme, so they were pretty much open to anything that didn’t feature characters as the main subject matter. Being a hardcore fan of the science fiction genre, I knew I wanted to paint something along those lines.
