It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

4.5 Bit Errors in NAND Flash
As mentioned earlier, NAND was designed to replace hard disk drives. The inventors
realized that the hard disk drive’s innovators had come up with a lot of good ideas, and
borrowed some of those ideas to further drive costs down for NAND.
