In this chapter, we expanded the EJB discussion to advanced topics, such as transaction management, exception management, and security management.
For transaction management, we described container- and bean-managed transactions, and the link between transactions and the underlying resource managers, specifically relational database systems.
For exception management, we classified the exceptions into application and system exceptions and described how exceptions should be handled by EJBs and clients.
For security, we described the basic security schema used by WebSphere Application Server and specifically how it applies to EJBs.
