In Part 1, we introduce Enterprise JavaBeans as part of J2EE. We describe the EJB architecture and concepts, and introduce the different types of EJBs.
We discuss in detail each type of EJB and point out what is new with the EJB 2.0 specification. In each chapter we conclude with best practice guidelines for successful implementation of EJB-based applications.
