A server identifies the server used to test your application. Unlike VisualAge for Java, Application Developer has the option to deploy to and test with both local and remote instances of the WebSphere application server, and additionally Apache Tomcat. Here is a brief explanation of each of the servers.
WebSphere Version 5.0
This enables the developer to work with an integrated version of WebSphere Application Server Version 5, which supports the entire J2EE 1.3 and 1.2 programming model. This is the best option for testing EJB-based applications. Three options are provided:
