When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
When the build agent is installed, it creates a TFS workspace that is hardcoded to be Trunk\Main\Metadata, the agent assumes a mapped server's local packages folder. It starts by downloading all changes from this folder in TFS to a local working folder. It then uses the descriptor file to determine what to build.
Once the files have been downloaded, the following happens:
- Check if the DynamicsBackup folder exists on the C drive--this will be on a specific drive if it is an LCS deployed build server, and will not be on the C drive.
- If it does not exist, a SQL backup is made to the DynamicsBackup\Databases folder and the local packages folder is copied to the DynamicsBackup\Packages folder.
- If the folder exists, the SQL database ...
