When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Impact on licensing
Operations is licensed based on named users. Based on your organization's requirements, a mix of client access license (CAL) types can be bought.
The user's CAL type is determined by the entry points (effectively, the menu items) to which they have read access or higher. For each menu item, we have two properties that control which license type will be required:
- ViewUserLicense: This is when a user is given Read access to this menu item
- MaintainUserLicense: This is when a user is given Update or higher access to this menu item
The CAL type is determined by the highest user license type to which the user is assigned. We are not forced to enter values in these menu item properties, but it would be a breach of the license ...
