When I went on the O’Reilly platform, I was astonished to find all the books there, plus live events and sandboxes so you could play around with the technology.I’ve been on the O’Reilly platform for more than eight years. I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Servicing production
In order to apply any update to live, the package must first be deployed to the Standard Acceptance Test environment (LCS enforces this rule). If the new update passes user acceptance testing, go back to the Asset library and locate the merged package. Select it and click on Release candidate.
Then, use the same process as we did for the sandbox server to apply the update. The difference in this case is that it can be scheduled. Since this requires Microsoft's DSE (a team of engineers that help maintain the cloud environments) to be on call for this, they need notice which is currently 8 hours. The update window is 5 hours, and it will take 5 hours. It can take longer, so plan this carefully with the customer.
