I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

GETTING TO THE TOP
Finally, think about what you need to do to stand out among your peers, stay up to date and then get ahead. As you progress up the corporate ladder you need to focus continuously on performance, and increasingly look up and out as opposed to in and down. Your network will be more and more important, and you will need to start to think and act like a director.
Your new financial acumen should stand you in good stead amongst your peers. With luck they will be concentrating so hard on getting their work function role right that they will let the finance and administration side slide.
