It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 3. Getting Started with FreeRADIUS
After FreeRADIUS has been installed it needs to be configured for our requirements. This chapter will help you to get familiar with FreeRADIUS. It assumes that you already know the basics of the RADIUS protocol as discussed in Chapter 1.
In this chapter we shall:
- Perform a basic configuration of FreeRADIUS and test it
- Discover ways of getting help
- Learn the recommended way to configure and test FreeRADIUS
- See how everything fits together with FreeRADIUS
So let's get on with it.

Before you start
This chapter assumes that you have a clean installation of FreeRADIUS. You will need root access to edit FreeRADIUS configuration files for the basic configuration and testing.
