The previous chapters introduced the five types of hardware interrupts on the DMG: vblank, joypad, LCD, timer, and serial. This chapter provides additional information related to interrupts. While this information won’t be directly applicable to most programs, it will come in handy in those rare situations where you need full control over your interrupts.
You’ll begin by learning a bit more about the execution of interrupts and the level of control you can exert over their relative priority. This knowledge will help you prioritize the interrupts that are the most time-sensitive in your program. Then, you’ll get a few tips on writing interrupts.
