So, here we come to the application of the PCA technique for facial recognition. In the following example, we will associate each image in our archive with the name corresponding to the person represented in the image.
To do this, we need to reduce the dimensionality of the image (consisting of the numerous features corresponding to the different characteristics of the pixels) to the main components, that is, the features most relevant to recognition purposes. These main components are Eigenfaces.
