It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Why do we need AMQP?
AMQP is the solution for this JMS API problem. The fundamental advantage of using AMQP is that it underpins the exchange of messages, paying little mind to the platform's compatibility and message brokers. We can develop messaging systems using any programming language and still we can communicate with each system using AMQP-based message brokers.
