NOT ANOTHER RAINY DAY
The bright early-summer sun warmed Julie’s shoulders as she walked through the public gardens. She had a bounce in her step that was partly the weather, partly a result of the meeting she had that morning with Chuck.
“I’d like to say I told you so,” he had quipped, handing her the letter offering her a raise. “But I don’t want to take away anything from you. You’ve worked hard over the last six months and it shows. I’ve been truly impressed, both with how your team has performed, and how you’re stepping up into a leadership role within the organization. How does it feel?”
