I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Documenting external information systems access
Ensure that you identify all other systems that interface with the information system that you are currently supporting. For each interface:
- Identify the interface name
- Identify the purpose of the interface and any specific notes concerning the interface
- Identify the direction of the data transfer
- Identify the interfacing system and the owner of the interfacing system
The following is a sample form you can use to capture this information:
