getBytes(), getChars(), and toCharArray()

The following methods convert the String value to a byte array, optionally encoding it using the given charset:

• byte[] getBytes()
• byte[] getBytes(Charset charset)
• byte[] getBytes(String charsetName)

And these methods convert all the String value to other types, or only part of it:

• IntStream chars()
• char[] toCharArray()
• char charAt(int index)
• CharSequence subSequence(int beginIndex, int endIndex)
