Apêndice B. Instala o Python 3

Neste apêndice, descrevo algumas dessas maneiras:

Uma instalação padrão descarrega o Python de python.org, e adiciona os programas auxiliares
pipevirtualenv. -
Se o teu trabalho é fortemente científico, podes preferir obter o Python com muitos pacotes científicos do Anaconda e usar o seu instalador de pacotes
condaem vez depip.
O Windows não tem Python de todo, e o macOS, Linux e Unix tendem a ter versões antigas. Até que eles se atualizem, podes precisar de instalar o Python 3 tu mesmo.
Verifica a tua versão do Python
Num terminal ou numa janela de terminal, escreve python -V:
$ python -V Python 3.7.2
Dependendo do teu sistema operativo, se não tiveres Python ou se o sistema operativo não o conseguir encontrar, vais receber uma mensagem de erro como command not found.
Se tiveres o Python e a sua versão 2, podes querer instalar o Python 3 - ou em todo o sistema, ou apenas para ti num virtualenv (veja "Usar virtualenv", ou "Instalar virtualenv"). Neste apêndice, eu mostro como instalar o Python 3 em todo o sistema.
