issue An issue can be any discrepancies, deficiencies, or

other abnormal system behavior noted during the

entire phase of the software development lifecycle.

Issues are not limited to hardware, database, network,

and integration issues alone. Issues are often process

related as well. An issue is anything that hampers the

normal workflow during the system/software

development lifecycle (SDLC). Items are considered to

be issues if they require more than a developer to

resolve. An issue can be raised by anyone related with

the concerned application during any phase of the

SLDC.
