It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Identifying microservices
Microservices can be very varied. There are technical microservices that are used throughout the application and that meet nonfunctional requirements, and there are microservices that are related to the application business application.
We can use two approaches in order to create business microservices—using business capabilities or use cases:
- Business capabilities: This indicates the ability to generate value for the business application. The decomposition is small and each service would have a larger scope. For example, in an application that manages a college, we can have the following business capabilities such as Professor Management Service, Student Management Service, Course Management Service, Student Financial ...
