I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Taking care of the process of extracting application modules that are candidates for microservices
Here, we must extract the application components or modules with well-defined interfaces. These modules would be eligible to become microservices. Looking at these module interfaces, we have to try to find out which of the following two situations is the case:
- The modules are independent, meaning that the services are well-defined and have few responsibilities. Here, we must take care not to generate monolithic modules.
- The modules are reusable. Some clear examples of modules that can be reused would be modules with more technical tasks that are used throughout all of the application, such as a print service, an email service, a storage service, ...
