Defining the group of servers to receive the first deployment

On the blue/green deployment, defining the group of servers to receive the first deployment is very easy because no tests will run and nothing will be checked; the process of deployment simply needs to be completed successfully. A good practice is to divide the production environment into two groups of servers and select one group to receive the deployment first. Each group will generally have approximately 50% of production servers.
