Over the years, the application grows and more lines of code are added to preexisting codes. Even when approaching the code with caution using the best object-oriented practices and patterns (low coupling and code reuse), the number of classes and libraries tends to grow. Maintenance becomes much more difficult. Common problems may arise, such as an increase in the responsibilities of some classes. This issue is more critical because the development team always changes. The code becomes more difficult to understand and some required changes can be made incorrectly. As a consequence of this, we have a delay in implementation.
