Words, Letters, and Lots of Ideas
Music. Sunshine. Vivacious. Exquisite. Jedi. Anthropomorphic. Zany. Spiffy. Weightless. Mentor. Mensch. And Kanye!
These nouns, adjectives, and verbs (some sporting exclamation points) are among the roughly 1,500 selected since 2008 by incoming freshmen at California's University of the Pacific to describe themselves. They are featured in the One Word Project (pacificoneword.org), a student-run initiative aimed at capturing the essence of first-year students through their own definitions.
