Take the new Raspberry Pi 3b+. The Respeaker 2 HAT will sit directly on the Pi headers, and the board overhang must be over the Pi, not sticking out.
The speakers will have either a tiny two pin connector (JST) type that fits snugly in a single two-pin socket on the board, or you may have speakers that plug into the 3.5 mm jack on the Respeaker 2. The next photograph shows the speaker plugged into it:
