Searching and replacing using regular expressions

As you can deduce from the previous table, if you need to search and replace some text, one option is to use the Replace in string step. In the simplest scenario, you look for fixed text and replace it with other fixed text. However, this step supports more elaborate searches and replacements through the use of regular expressions and group references. Let's explain this with some examples:

1. Create a new Transformation.
2. Create a dataset with zip codes, similar to the one created in the previous example.

Alternatively, you can reuse that dataset. Open the Transformation and copy/paste into this new Transformation the step or steps that created the data.
