So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Analyzing Steps Metrics
You are already familiar with the Step Metrics tab, which shows statistics for each step in your Transformation. There are some columns that we haven't mentioned until now, which are useful to monitor the performance:

The first two metrics are self-explanatory. The input/output field requires an extra explanation. This field shows the number of rows in the buffers entering and coming out of the current step.
