So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.

Description
Prints some information about the system to standard output. This option is installed as part of the Computer Hardware Understanding Development (CHUD) set of developer tools.
Options/Usage
- -h
Prints a usage statement to standard error.
- -v
Prints information verbosely.

parameter One of the following:
cpusreports the number of CPUs (either1or2),cpunapreports whether the CPU may slow down to conserve energy (either0or1),hwprefetchreports the number of prefetch engines used by a G5 CPU (either4or8), andostypereports the code name for the system’s OS: Cheetah (Mac OS X 10.0), Puma (10.1), Jaguar (10.2), Smeagol (10.2.7), or Panther (10.3).
