mount_ftp [-omount_options] [ftp://][username:password@]ftp_server:port_ num[/pathname]mount_point
Description
Mounts FTP archives as filesystem volumes.
Options/Usage

username The login name to use with an FTP server that requires authentication.

password The password to use with an FTP server that requires authentication. Note that specifying this option on the command line exposes the password in a process listing.

ftp_server The hostname or IP address of an FTP server.

port_num The port number on which the server offers FTP service.

pathname The path to the directory you wish to access on the FTP server, relative to the site’s default FTP root directory (e.g.,
/Library/FTPServer/FTPRooton Mac OS X Server). Defaults to/.-
mount_point The directory on which the filesystem will be mounted. It must be an absolute pathname.
