
I filed down the plastic interior part to fit neatly
inside. A small square of styrene became the
miniature TV in the dashboard (Figure
H
).
The Dremel and a cylindrical bit made short
work of hogging out the engine compartment.
Careful hand filing squared things up.
TIP: If you break off a chunk of foam you can
reattach it with cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, but
because of the foam’s texture you’ll have to first
apply a layer of CA to each surface, let it cure to a
thin film, then bond the two parts together. If you
need to add material, use Plastic Wood filler. It
will bond tightly to the foam and it isn’t too hard.
