In the previous installment of Weird Resistors
(“Play With Your Food,” Make: Volume 85),
we talked about materials that have different
resistive properties that might not be
“traditional” resistors. This time I’d like to share
with you some ways to make resistors more
squishy and twisty. We’ll make two kinds of weird
resistors, and learn a bit more about where
to find resistive materials. This is part of my
upcoming zine on resistors!
FINDING RESISTIVE MATERIALS
We hear a lot about conductive fabric and thread,
which can help build soft circuits, but materials
with resistive properties can be useful too!
Every material, even a copper wire, ...
