I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Summary
Working in the realm of the Style layer is one of the most exciting and enjoyable aspects of interface design. The visual components of an interface tend to steal the spotlight from some of the more thorny and analytical aspects of the overall design. Ultimately, however, like all forms of design, visual design is about problem solving, not about personal preference or unsupported opinion.
Whether a particular visual design is appropriate for the interface of a Web application lies in how it balances a variety of competing demands, including:
