Managing Special Problems and Complex Projects

images In this chapter, we look closely at a number of specialized issues, topics that are crucial to many project managers but are often overlooked in project management texts: planning and control on large projects, project portfolios, contracted projects, and projects with bureaucratic milestones. We conclude the chapter with a brief overview of two additional topics that have gained importance in recent years: establishing a project support office and managing virtual teams.
