Queues
There are many queues in ServiceNow that you can send jobs and events to. Queuing up a task or event allows them to be combined together and processed in a batch rather than individually.
Each queue will be processed after a given time, and the timing that each queue is processed is often set in the system properties. Changing the frequency that a queue is processed will mean that tasks or events are dealt with quicker, but it will have a draining effect on system resources. It is always important to carefully consider this when setting queue processing times at a different value to the defaults that are provided in the baseline system.
