Less than ten years ago, getting a website was a daunting task, right up there with doing your taxes blindfolded or landing on the sun (at night, of course). Thankfully, that’s no longer the case. Now getting a website (or a blog) is as easy as ordering pizza or putting on loafers.
A website is almost a mandatory pursuit for a micro-entrepreneur, but fortunately, getting one up and running is relatively easy. In fact, you can actually do it initially for less than ten bucks — for an entire year! Interesting that setting up a website is officially cheaper than ordering pizza (or doing a load of laundry).
In this chapter, I explain the importance of having a web presence and how you can start to make your presence known with a website and/or blog. I also explain a few other ways you can do business without a website or blog if you choose. Just make sure you have some type of presence.
