Hardware requirements
The hardware requirements for this project are relatively loose. As we saw in the last chapter, we can list out our requirements and, within the requirements, define any constraints that we want. In general, we want our requirements to be general enough that engineers can make engineering decisions on what they use. We don't want to tie their hands completely by saying, for example, that they must use a specific pushbutton or microcontroller (even though we may do this for our own purposes in this book). They should be able to review the requirements and then perform a trade study on which technologies and hardware help them to best meet their requirements.
