What’s New in SSMS
SSMS is loaded with new features in SQL Server 2008. This tool was introduced in SQL Server 2005, and it brought quite a bit of change with it. There is also quite a bit of change with SQL Server 2008, but the basic look-and-feel of the application remains much the same as it was in SQL Server 2005.
The standout features in the SQL Server 2008 SSMS include four new features geared toward the administrator and three new features geared toward the developer. Of course, all these features could be used by both administrators and developers.
