I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Reviewing the JDK version
If you have JDK 8, that is all you need to safely skip this section. If you want to install JDK 9, do not. Spark is incompatible with any JDK version greater than 8. Also, please ensure that you did not install the JDK into a path that has spaces in it. This is a minor detail, but we want to make sure.
In the next section, we get into the installation of MongoDB. We will talk about the why and the how.
