One reason agile development works so well is that it makes the development process transparent. Walk into any agile team’s work area, and you’ll likely see some big visible charts. You can tell at a glance what the team is working on, what impediments may be in its way, how much work has been completed, and whether or not the regression tests are currently passing. We devoted a section of Agile Testing (pp. 354–66) to preparing for visibility. Here, we’ll explore more ways to increase the visibility of testing in an agile team.
