The use of electromagnetic energy for communications has increased dramatically since the last edition of the NAB Engineering Handbook was published. This chapter updates previous versions, including new and revised standards in force, emphasizing the require-ments on broadcasters, and describing methods for measuring radio frequency (RF) energy.
