I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Internet Protocol Security (IPSec)
Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) is a standards-based protocol suite designed specifically for securing Internet Protocol (IP) communications. IPSec authenticates and encrypts each IP packet in an IP data stream. In addition, IPSec has protocols that can establish mutual authentication and cryptographic key negotiation during a session. IPSec operates at the Network Layer (Layer 3) of the OSI model.
The IPSec standard utilizes three major components:
- Authentication Header (AH)
- Encapsulating Security Payload (ESP)
- Internet Key Exchange (IKE)
