4. Organization Development as a Process of Change

Recall the definition of organization development (OD): a planned process of change in an organization’s culture through the utilization of behavioral science technology and theory. The focus of this chapter is on the process of change and on utilization of theory.

Although the practice of OD may be based on portions of several theories from the behavioral sciences, as stated in the previous chapter, there is no single, all-encompassing theory of OD.
