Beyond the Basics

In Chapter 2, you learned how to create sim-

ple slides, adjust timing and transitions, and

create captions. In this chapter, you’ll build

on the skills you have picked up with the

addition of layers, motion e ects, music, and

caption e ects. You’ll start with the addition

of multiple layers to a slide and learn how to

move them around. From there, you’ll add

some music and learn how to adjust timing

to the show. Finally, you’ll add some captions

and add some e ects to liven them up a bit.

 ese e ects will really begin to distinguish

your show visually and help you produce a

complete piece.
