Creating Projects
If you make scrapbooks, photo albums, and other crafty projects, Elements 5 was
made for you. You can create the projects of your dreams without using—or buy-
ing—any other software. Elements 5 is crammed with all kinds of graphics, frames,
and other special effects you can use in your projects. For the first time, too, it’s
easy to create multiple page documents with Elements.
You put together these projects using the new Photo Creations feature. Once you
learn the steps for Photo Layouts in the first section, you can make any Elements
project, since the basic method is the same for all Photo Creations. This chapter
describes the features unique to each type of project. In addition, you’ll learn how
to create photo books and calendars using Kodak EasyShare, Adobe’s online
photo-printing partner.
NOTE You can also create Photo galleries (photo-filled Web pages) and slideshows in Ele-
ments. You can learn about those projects in Chapters 17 and 18.
Photo Layouts
Elements 5 gives you new wizards to help create fancy pages featuring your pho-
tos, which you can then share either by printing or as digital files. Although Ele-
ments gives you lots of preset layouts to start from, you can customize every aspect
of these layouts to create projects that are totally your own.
