Chapter 9. Postfix Lookup Tables
In the preceding chapter, I explained the Postfix main.cf
configuration file. One of the features described in the configuration file is the use of lookup tables to map information in a database type format. This chapter describes the different types of lookup tables Postfix can use and how they help speed up the access of mail information.
Postfix Lookup Table Support
Many of the Postfix core programs match information contained in mail messages with lists of addresses in lookup tables to determine how and where to deliver e-mail messages.
Table 9.1 lists all supported Postfix lookup tables.
