What to Do When the Customer Is Demanding

You’ll recognize demanding customers by the way in which they present their request or problem to you. They’ll likely tell rather than ask. They’ll expect you to give them more than is required. They’ll ask for and expect special favors and may even expect you to jump through hoops just for them. They don’t care that you have other customers or that your company prides itself on acting ethically by treating all customers fairly and equitably. You’ll recognize demanding customers because they’re the ones who make you want to ask, “Just who do you think you are?”
