Each color draws out a specific emotion in each person. Although, this can differ according to culture, background, or preference. Here is a quick reference of color meanings:

  • Yellow:
    • In-your-face yellow should be used with caution
    • Men find it distasteful
    • Kids love it
  • Orange:
    • The new red, warm without danger
    • Associated with energy (drinks, sports, fitness)
    • Kids love it too
  • Red:
    • Prompts action, increases breathing, and pulse
    • Symbolizes passion and is ideal for fashion/makeup brand, dating, and food
  •  Purple:
    • Luxury, elegance, and femininity
    • Spans a large female demographic and has no negative associations
  • Black:
    • Classy, conventional, corporate
    • Excellence and formality
