I use a couple of learning platforms, but I'm on O'Reilly more than anybody else. When you're there, you start learning. I'm never disappointed.I'm always learning. So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
ABOUT THE EDITORS
William J. Rothwell, Ph.D., DBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, RODC, FLMI, CPTD Fellow (wjr9@psu.edu) is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Workforce Education and Development in the Department of Learning and Performance Systems at Penn State University, University Park, and President of Rothwell & Associates, Inc., among other ventures. (He owns three consulting companies, a motel, and a vacation rental home company and is thus a professor and a business owner.) With more than 50 years of combined experience in human resources (HR), organization development (OD), and talent development (TD), he has worked with more than 50 multinational companies, governments, and nonprofits. Before joining Penn State in 1993, Rothwell held executive positions in HR and OD for nearly 20 years with the Illinois Office of the Auditor General and Franklin Life Insurance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fortune 50 multinational company American Brands.
As a professor, Rothwell has led Penn State’s academic programs in offering a master’s degree in Organization Development and a Ph.D. in Workforce Education and Development with a specialization in Talent Development/Organization Development. Over his 31-year tenure at Penn State, he has chaired more than 120 Ph.D. committees and has contributed globally as a mentor and academic advisor. He has served on doctoral committees in the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.
