The importance of control cannot be denied even to a small extent, since a good control system

ensures proper implementation of plans, prevents the compounding of a trivial error to a huge volume,

and helps to keep a check on all functions thus bringing ineffi ciencies to the fore. However, its imple-

mentation is not free from limitations. Often it is diffi cult to establish correct standards against which

performances would be measured, quantifying qualitative factors remains a diffi cult task. Wrong detec-

tion of cause of deviation, introduction of rigidity into the system, expenses are other limitations.
