Observation
In general, by connecting more resistors in series we obtain increases in the
total resistance, while with the parallel topology the total resistance decreases.
In particular for series resistors, the total resistance is higher than the largest of
the resistances, while for the parallel resistors, the total resistance is lower than
the smallest of the resistances. This is reasonable if we think that theseries
connection corresponds, practically, to an increase in the length of the con-
ductor, keeping the same section (and the value of R is proportional to the
